New business:
  1. Terrace Adult Hockey League 2nd Annual Tournament schedule for January 16 to 18.
  2. Motion to purchase new Referee jerseys for all 25 referees. Estimated price per jersey is $79.99+tax on Hockey Monkey’s website. Total: $2,239.72. Rec voted to have refs officiate 5 games then reimburse.
  3. Motion to purchase new Level 1 First Aid kits for each team. Canadian Tire has some that range in price from $12 to $50.  Or just buy 1 big level 3 kit and store it in the League’s Referee Lockers? Rec voted for option 2 (1 level 3 first aid kit).
  4. Motion from Marc S. to create awards for the League. Top forward, Top Defencemen, Top Goalie. Rec approved. Old Timers not approved. Only Rec will have awards.
  5. Elect new Vice-President. Rec suggested talking to Joel
  6. Golf Scramble update.  Course has been reserved for April 25th. Booked the entire course.
Old business updates:
  1. Insurance policy reviewed.  League Members motioned to have insurance policy increase the coverage for players dental.  Travis Lamming actioned to contact insurance provider to increase coverage. BFL has returned with a price increase of $10,000 to up our coverage for dental work.  This is due to the half cages and mouth guard risks.  They will cover dental work but to cover Dental/Bridgework would require a full-face shield. Travis to follow up with BFL to get the details of the coverage.
  2. Motion to increase Referee wages. League Members voted and passed a wage increase.  Officials will now be paid $60 per game.
  3. Referee shortages for 2025/26.  League to advertise through as many social media outlets before the season starts. Aim is to hire 20 to 25 full-time Officials. League now has 25 Referees on the list for the 2025/26 season thanks to the summer hiring notices.  Also hired 7 more Scorekeepers.
  4. League to host one day seminar for Referees wanting to work for the League before the next season starts.  On and off ice training will be provided. Seminar is booked for September 7th.  9:00am to 12:00pm. Tyler Noble to run seminar.
  5. Spare players attendance tracking.  Teams will now be required to inform the Scorekeeper when a spare player has been picked up.  Scorekeeper to add that players name to the scoresheet. League suspects some players have forgotten to pay.  Need to inform Brianna to instruct the Scorekeepers of this new initiative before the season starts.
